American gods was good, Anansi boys is better. The comedy, the drama, the little peculiarities which make all Neil Gaiman characters unique, the initial setting which gets turned upside down so gradually but never predictable. In this regard this book is like any other Neil Gaiman book - pure joy on paper (or sound if you go for the audiobook) And yet Anansi boys has its own charm, its own aura which just gets you. The gripping storyline apart the author tops his witty sense of humor and amazing storytelling style. You think after reading a few books you'd be used to that but each time it hits you like a fresh lime on a tropical island (I do have a new found appreciation for limes now). I end my worshipping Neil Gaiman here as I can only get redundant from this point on. I seriously hope there is a continuation of it some time soon.
