Warlock Nate Hawthorne just wants a cup of coffee. Is that too much to ask? Apparently. RomanttinenHauskaSydäntälämmittäväJännittäväTook a while for me to get engaged, only listened with half an ear. About half way in I had to rewind, because I got interested after all. The characters weren't as flat and predictable as I thought at first. By the end I was all 🥰😍

ALL those inhales at the beginning of 95% of the sentences just had me complete off from what was gonna be a very mediocre game anyways. The emotional shift of Nate wanting and pining for instead of disliking Ian came on way too fast before and after the mating in my opinion, so everything built on it felt too unearned or 'patched up' with smut, and the plot happened suddenly in a freight train of action after way too little build-up between them to get me all that invested in their fates. Not that their fates were in all too much danger, considering how easily the main battles got resolved in the end. This is not the worst execution of a plot I've ever seen, but this was very average or just lacking in every aspect, especially the lack of world-building. So a good enough backround noise or travelling listen for a couple of hours, at best.
