I share with you my passion and knowledge about Lean Six Sigma[1]. Within these pages, I'll guide you through the labyrinth of methods and strategies that will help you become a true MOD in your personal and professional life. I conducted my first Lean Six Sigma training for payment back in 2007. Prior to that, I spent many years as an internal trainer in various problem-solving domains within different companies. Hundreds of training days and thousands of questions from participants compelled me to redefine the way we perceive Lean Six Sigma. Finally, the time came when I decided to share my knowledge and experience with the world. I want this approach to be in the hearts of as many people as possible, inspiring us daily to be exemplary providers. Here, I present to you the story of conversations with one of the participants in my training – Magda. During the training, I typically begin by introducing unique concepts of utility, delta equal to zero[2], and feedback value – key aspects that the Master of Personal Excellence (MOD) pays attention to. We then proceed to examples, tasks, and a panel discussion. After the training, Magda expressed many doubts and questions, prompting me to propose a series of additional meetings where we could delve deeper into all of them. The result is this record of our discussions, during which Magda discovered the essence of utility and the success of personal excellence based on the application of Lean Six Sigma concepts in everyday life.
