Maybe that’s why I was so annoyed when a handsome Irishman insisted I join his tour and then offered me a place to stay in his hometown. Something about him made me say yes–an unfamiliar feeling that he would understand me. Or it could have been all the Mr. Darcy jokes at his expense. But my heart is closed for business.

And before I knew it, I was inviting her to join my tour. I believed if I could show her the heart of Ireland, it might restore hers.
