Cecilia Sahlström is a Swedish crime writer based in Lund, in southern Sweden. She worked for twenty years in the Swedish police force before turning to writing, lending her novels a gritty realism and authentic insight into police investigations. Her Sara Vallén series, beginning with "White Lilac", has been praised for its sharp portrayal of procedural detail and social awareness.
