ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK

The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro tells the story of an aged British couple, Axl and Beatrice, who live in a land shrouded by a mist that causes people to forget much of their past. Driven by a fading memory of their son, they set out on a difficult journey across a landscape filled with mythical creatures and simmering tensions between Britons and Saxons. As they travel, they encounter various characters, including a Saxon warrior on a quest and a knight burdened by his past, who offer glimpses into the land's troubled history and the nature of the pervasive forgetfulness. The narrative explores themes of memory, love, loss, and the way the past shapes the present.
