Lee thinks she's safe in the silver city, safe from the monsters. But she's wrong.

While on a mission for the alliance, Lee Reimer, a politician's daughter, celebrates a newly made pact with an alien race, unaware a vicious beast stalks nearby, ready to steal her away.

Vrexus, a new commander of the deadly vrisha known as the Blood Guard, is a lone wolf, ready to gain respect and rank among his own kind. His mission: take the alliance members from the city and bring them to the queen, alive. Seems easy enough for the outcast turned mercenary.
