I was enjoying this book until Arista went back to the refugee camp after performing magic there in front of a lot of people. Nobody can convince me that she would suddenly become so stupid as to return there. Even if she didn't think that she was being hunted by the same assassin that killed Ezra she wouldn't have been stupid enough to return. She has done a lot of stupid things, but those could be explained. This cannot be explained other than that it was needed for the plot and the writer couldn't be bothered to come up with something more reasonable.
