An okay start to a fantasy series. But not as epic or unforgettable as I had wished for. I think I miss more characters, more world-building, descriptions and dialogues. Might listen to the next book though and see if it gets better.

As a rather picky fantasy-reader I must say I really loved this book! Well-written, exciting and unpredictable. The characters were very well developed and really came to life through the amazing narration! 5/5
