The Flamingos’ Stockings

The story centers around a fanciful event where different animals prepare for a grand ball hosted by vipers. Each creature decorates itself elaborately, with particular attention given to the flamingos who originally have white legs. Angered, the coral snakes and other vipers retaliate against the flamingos, turning their white legs permanently red with venom.
