I finished listening to this book in two very busy days. Instead of sleeping at 3 am, I was listening as I am with the author in every funny or tragic story and situation he faced, feeling sorry for him for not having a life outside of the hospital, at the same time, growing my respect for doctors and nurses.A highly recommend book, if you underestimate the efforts of medical staff, or if you appreciate it, or if you are just up for some real life experiences, read/listen to it anyway!!

This book is essentially an insider's story of the mess NHS and overall healthcare in the UK is going through due to a series of erroneous or random political decisions, despite the dedication and passion of its healthcare professionals. On a different level, the story goes beyond these boundaries. If you're a healthcare professional working on the frontline, you will see a lot of yourself in Adam's diary - overworked, underpaid, constantly on the edge with very little professional support, having to miss important family unions and compromising your personal life, all in the name of the "greater good". If you are working with medics and healthcare professionals, and you think they are a bunch of workoholics with huge egos, it gives you a glimpse of their day-to-day life to better understand the psyche. It was a high speed, bittersweet read, starting off in an upbeat tone with lots of funny - often incredible - anecdotes from the "frontline", but ending on a sad note, revealing the

Evet okumak faydalı ama edebi bir şey beklemeyin. Eskiden doktorluk yapmış ve sonra bırakıp eğelence dünyasına girmiş bir adamın basit anıları. Doktorlukla ilgili güzel noktalar var ama hayat değiştiren bir mevzu yok.
