Sucheta Panchnadikar - Daughter of Narmada Maiyya

Sucheta grew up in a 40-member joint family. Her adventurous nature was nurtured while growing up with a bunch of cousins. She perused gymnastics during schooling along with cycling. After a hiatus of a few years after marriage, she restarted cycling in London. After returning to India, she started longer routes. To cross train, Sucheta started running and finished two half marathons with ease. Overcoming her childhood fear of water, she learnt swimming as an additional exercise Her love for Narmada inspired her to finish the parikrama first on cycle and then on foot. To get used to staying away from home for extended period for Parikrama, she finished a month-long basic mountaineering course with flying colours.
