One of my fav books of all time. A story about two women and their lives during Nazi Germany. A rebellious girl who strives to mark her presence in the world war and her sister who patiently awaits a husband gone to fight in the war. The heartfelt stories of these sisters accompanied by Kristin Hannah’s beautiful writing, makes the book both heart-warming and heart-wrenching at the same time. A must read and quite frankly the best Historical fiction I’ve read till date.

Brings back the horrors of holocaust and at the same time gives you enough strength.

It’s a shattering but intriguing book . The author beautifully depicts human emotions , care and love despite war and hatred grappling the characters.

The book evokes so many different emotions! Helped us understand times during the war which left people bereft of looking at life with hope and longing. A soulstirrer for me! I enjoy all Kristin Hannah's books. She makes it poignant!It stole my heart!

Brilliant narration. Beautifully written. Probably one of the best historical fiction books out there. A must read.

This is a beautiful book and this is the second time I am reading it. The first time I read it as an ebook. The narration is so beautiful and perfect. The narrator manages to pull at your heart strings. My heart is overwhelmed with emotions after listening to this book.
