Brilliant book and very thought provoking. The stream-of-consciousness style of Virginia Woolf's writing sometimes makes it hard to follow, which is why I haven't given the book 5 stars. Other than that, it's a great book that everyone, particularly women, should read.

Enjoyable, the first time I've read this author's work. I found her insight valuable and can see how some of her points from 1928 are still key issues for women in 2022 even if it's not as pronounced it's still happening. The author comes across as ahead of her time, and clearly intune or 'woke' to women's challenges and the mindset of the male gender. I recommend a listen, the narrator is excellent.

Long before 'We Should All Be Feminists' by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichi, came Virginia Wolf and her immensely detailed work on why we all should be feminist. I thoroughly enjoyed, read, contemplated and agreed with this book 100%. A must read for past, present and future generations of women and ofcourse men(if they would oblige).

Very interesting in its main points. Although my male brain regularly found the style tedious, this is probably the point; it's written by a woman for women.

Prachtig en inlevend voorgelezen. Wat een inzichten in de vruchten van ongelijkheid van sexe en klasse. En een ode aan het basisinkomen! Een must-read voor poëzie liefhebbers.
