Blandade tips från Japan och Kina om att hitta sin egen väg i livet, motionera mer och äta bättre. Boken funkar bra som tilltugg när man tröttnat på ryska författare och Camus :)

    Förvirrande

Some books throw out the baby with the bathwater when investigating spiritual matters. This book removes the baby and keeps the bathwater. It covers a fascinating subject poorly. The problem is that it never takes it's own advice. It extolls the virtue of doing the thing for itself, not for hopes of success, and then list all of the succesfull people who has that approach. Way to undercut the message. The chapters on Tai Chi, Qi Gong etc are beyond parody. They try to make these practices into a kind of boring excercise routine. The book gets 2 stars because it gace me three good insights, but it could have been a folder or a listicle. It also have the annoying habit of going on random excursions, eg Victor Frankels logos therapy, that are then left and barely ever revisited. It also persists in preaching how good for your health meaning and purpose in life is. The person who has to be promised long life to understand the point of feeling meaning and purpose won't read this book anyway

The concept of this book is to find your IKIGAI, which is the secret of having a happy life and live “long” (in years). - Take about japan which has the oldest population on earth - include interview with old people- practical things to find your IKIGAI- the power of working and living alining with your IKIGAI- the impact of having a supportive community both mentally and financially - the blue zone of the earth were the oldest people liveHad seen a documentary about this before but good written book overall
