Eleanor Oliphant has learned how to survive – but not how to live
Eleanor Oliphant leads a simple life. She wears the same clothes to work every day, eats the same meal deal for lunch every day and buys the same two bottles of vodka to drink every weekend.
Eleanor Oliphant is happy. Nothing is missing from her carefully timetabled life. Except, sometimes, everything.
One simple act of kindness is about to shatter the walls Eleanor has built around herself. Now she must learn how to navigate the world that everyone else seems to take for granted – while searching for the courage to face the dark corners she’s avoided all her life.
Change can be good. Change can be bad. But surely any change is better than… fine?
‘Heartwrenching and wonderful’ Nina Stibbe
‘Deft, compassionate and moving’ Paula McLain
‘I adored it. Skilled, perceptive, Eleanor's world will feel familiar to you from the very first page. An outstanding debut!’ Joanna Cannon

What an exceptional book! The premise is not something that is easy to write about. Being inside someone’s head so clearly gives you an intimate view of the ways of their mind. I chuckled a lot because the thinking of Eleanor was much alike to mine. But it was hard, so many times. I felt dreadful and drawn and I wanted to sit and talk to Eleanor. I love EleanorAnd the reading, the voice of the narrator was perfect. So amazingly well done. I am looking forward to listening more of both the authors and the narrators. Much love.

Eleanor lives in all of us at some point in our lives. As humans, we all suffer from some tragedy during course of our life, that changes us and our beliefs. Here we are with our life freezed & falling apart, and everything else around goes just fine. Atleast we start believing so.We turn spiteful, cold and shut ourselves. That's why it is so important to be kind - because each one of us is fighting battles of his own. This book clearly shows that how great of an impact a simple gesture of kindness can make in someone's life. The narrative, characterization and plot is absolutely good.Insightful, Hopeful and Heart-wrenching book, Recommended!

A fantastic and refreshing narrative written with just the right amount of sensitivity, humour and realism. The narrator has done a fantastic job being alive the characters and emotions with her talented voice work.
