ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK

Revelation Space by Alastair Reynolds follows the crew of the Lachrimosa as they investigate a derelict ship and a mysterious structure on a remote planet. Driven by greed, Captain R.r.s.t. seeks to profit from any discoveries, while the others, especially Nidra and Lenka, grapple with their own motivations and loyalties. They encounter a terrifying entity in the cave, forcing them to face their fears and the consequences of their actions. The story delves into themes of self-preservation, cosmic horror, and the cyclical nature of civilizations. It also explores the complex relationship between the crew, particularly the growing bond between Nidra and Lenka, and Nidra’s disillusionment with Rrst. Ultimately, they must decide how to confront the entity and their own destinies.
