It's a good book; pretty enjoyable and I'll say well-written in terms of its prose. But it's a long book and that means it comes with its share of purple prose and stretched bits. If you do wish to get into this 800-page tome, this audiobook would be the best way to go, in my opinion. It's definitely not the best fantasy, but it's a start for people who haven't enjoyed much fantasy, but love the occasional romance. Even better if you haven't watched the show.
