Teratology: Developmental Disorders: Understanding Birth Defects

Teratology is the study of congenital abnormalities and the factors that contribute to developmental disorders in embryos and fetuses. Birth defects, which range from minor physical anomalies to severe life-threatening conditions, affect millions of infants worldwide.
