    Thrilling

Well except that the main narrator had a sort of “yeah stuff happens..so? “ tone even in highly horrifying scenes, the book was amazing. The fact that the book had such a fresh plot and weaves through it with so much thrills and turns made this exciting read

Rin Chupeco hadn't disappointed me with The Bone Witch trilogy and she certainly didn't disappoint with The Sacrifice. Although it is dubbed as horror (and it certainly has shown quite a bit of it, although not a traumatizing) what's special about it really is the suspense, the characters, the build up of the story and the final reveal. The God's eye might have been the obvious mystery in the plotline but the most mysterious character of all was surprisingly, the narrator of the story itself - our main character Alon. He held all the answers and yet the way his pov was narrated was so matter of fact yet absolutely captivating in the way that I, as a reader, did not even feel like questioning anything save for rare far apart moments. The actual narrator of this audiobook himself was amazing as well. Flawless voice acting and embodied the omniscient manner of Alon's talking so well! Overall a great experience!
