Shakuntala Devi is known as someone who could calculate at the speed of light. She could tell which day it was in any month in any year, and tell what your stars say about you. However, she was that and a lot more. While she was committed to making Maths easier for every child, she was also the first Indian to write about homosexuality with the aim to understand it. She had also written many cookbooks and books on social issues and had even run for elections.
