ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK

Fools Errand by Robin Hobb follows Fitz as he tries to live a quiet life as Tom Badgerlock, but is drawn back into political intrigue when he is called upon to protect Prince Dutiful. The central plot revolves around Dutiful's Wit magic, the emergence of the "Old Blood" or "Piebalds," and a mysterious woman who seeks to control the Prince. Fitz must confront his past and embrace his Skill and Wit abilities to protect the Prince and the Six Duchies.

The book explores themes of duty, identity, and sacrifice, as characters grapple with divided loyalties and difficult choices. Fitz's connection to Nighteyes and his evolving relationship with Dutiful are central to the story. The narrative also examines the nature of magic and its impact on individuals and society, highlighting the fear and prejudice against those with the Wit.
