#1 The skin is the largest organ in the body and is made up of three layers: the epidermis, the dermis, and the hypodermis. By practising Face Yoga, you are helping the blood flow and the natural exfoliation of the skin through manipulation and movement. This helps the epidermis by encouraging regular shedding of the top layer.

#2 There are 57 muscles in the face, head, and neck, and the main function of the face muscles is to give us the ability to make facial expressions. Each muscle has a particular function and needs to be looked after differently.

#3 Face Yoga works with the muscles and skin to provide support and lift for the face. As the bones are attached to the muscles, strengthening and toning the muscles helps to support the bones.

#4 The sun is a major contributor to skin ageing. It is agreed among almost all skin experts that UV exposure can contribute to visible signs of ageing on the face.
