The world did not collapse in an instant. It crumbled day by day, little by little, until all that remained was the shadow of what once was.

No one knows how it all began. Some whispered that it was a failed experiment, while others insisted it was simply a natural mutation—the punishment for humankind's attempt to play God. But in the end, it didn’t matter. The infection spread faster than anyone could have predicted, turning friends, families, and strangers into hollow shells driven by hunger and rage.

The city became a graveyard. Streets once full of laughter and purpose were now filled with the echoes of the lost—the moans of the undead, the cries of the dying, and the desperate prayers of the survivors. Governments fell, hope shattered, and those who remained clung to life with blood-stained hands, refusing to let go.

I am one of those survivors. My name is Ellie, and this is the story of how we move toward tomorrow.
