EREBUS

From Sunday Times bestselling author Giles Kristian and award-winning filmmaker Philip Stevens, comes EREBUS, a chilling science-fiction horror novella about isolation, survival and the darkness that lies beyond human understanding.

Deep in the frozen wilderness of Svalbard, a team of astronauts is preparing for humanity's first mission to Mars.

At Erebus Station, isolation is part of the experiment. For months, the crew must endure extreme cold, confinement and the crushing psychological pressure of life cut off from the outside world. But as the polar night descends, a routine expedition leads to an extraordinary discovery: a two-hundred-year-old ship, entombed in the ice, its crew long dead.

What happened aboard the vessel? And what is the strange black object found among the remains?

When the astronauts bring their discovery back to Erebus Station, the experiment becomes a nightmare. Strange events begin to unravel the crew's sanity. Buried traumas resurface. Trust fractures. And something that has lain dormant for centuries begins to stir.

Trapped in perpetual darkness, with no way to call for help, the astronauts must confront a terrifying possibility.

They are not alone. And whatever is out there has been waiting a very long time.
