As a Malayali Keralite, thoroughly enjoyed this modern Kannada novel. The narrative is the quest for identity by the protagonist who is a genius born to Dalit-Brahmin inter-caste parents. He has a live-in relationship with a lady who runs away from her abusive husband. His research is on wireless transmission of electrical energy. He surmises that the soul (atma) is like electricity, indestructible, whereas the body is like a bulb or other implements that is destructible.

Well dealt topics on Dharma, shastra and Vignana. The dichotomy of dharma and vasthavya shown well.
