പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ച പോലെ, അല്ല ആഗ്രഹിച്ചത് പോലെ സന്തോഷകരമായ ഒരു അവസാനം അല്ലായിരുന്നു. വായിച്ചു തീരുമ്പോൾ കുറുംമ്പിയമ്മയും ദാമു റൈറ്റെരും ദാസനും ചന്ദ്രികയും എല്ലാം ഒരു വിഷമമായി ബാക്കി നിൽകും. "ദാസൻ്റെ കഥ പറയുമ്പോൾ കൂടെ കണ്ണീർ പ്രവഹിക്കണം. അത് മനുഷ്യവിധിയുടെ കഥയാണ്...".അതുപോലെ തന്നെ എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ടതാണ് അവതരണം. പലർക്കും മിമിക്രി ആയി തോന്നിയെങ്കിലും കഥാപാത്രങ്ങൾക്ക് ജീവൻ കൊടുക്കുന്നതായിട്ടണ് എനിക്ക് അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടത്.
