Planet Leyla

By the end of the twenty-third century, Earth is no longer habitable. Economic collapse, resource scarcity and social chaos force the world's governments to make an extreme decision: to create a new order. To sustain it, millions of people are deemed expendable (the elderly, the sick, the marginalized) and sent to a distant planet: Leyla. What begins as banishment turns into an unexpected opportunity. On a virgin, fertile and unknown world, the exiles must organize, survive and build a new society from scratch. With no money, no imposed hierarchies and a past that condemns them, their greatest challenge will lie within themselves rather than in their surroundings. Is it possible to create a fairer world when everything has been lost? Or will the seed of human error inevitably travel with them? Planet Leyla is a dystopian science fiction novel that explores the limits of ethics, power and the human condition. It is a story of exile, resilience, and the possibility (or impossibility) of starting over.
