साधना प्रकाशन, पुणे. पहिली आवृत्ती - 6 जानेवारी 2015 प्राचीन, मध्ययुगीन आणि आधुनिक या तिन्ही काळातील स्थित्यंतर हा अभ्यासाचा व चिंतनाचा विषय असलेले खूप कमी लोक आजच्या महाराष्ट्रात आहेत, त्यातील एक महत्वाचे नाव सुरेश द्वादशीवार. दोन दशके मुख्यतः प्राध्यापक आणि तीन दशके मुख्यतः पत्रकार- संपादक अशी त्यांची कारकीर्द राहिली आहे. त्यांच्या 'मन्वंतर' या संग्रहात समाज व जग यांच्या स्थित्यंतराचे एकूणच वर्णन आलेले असून 'युगांतर' हा संग्रह त्यापुढील समाजस्थिती सांगणारा आहे. कूळ, जात, वर्ण, धर्म, जन्मस्थान वा देश याविषयी व्यक्तीला वाटणारे प्रेम वा निष्ठा जन्मदत्त स्वरूपाच्या असतात, त्या जन्माने मिळतात. याउलट न्याय, स्वातंत्र्य, समता, बंधुता, नीती व लोकशाही या मूल्यांविषयीच्या निष्ठा प्रयत्नपूर्वक आत्मसात कराव्या लागतात. जन्मदत्त निष्ठा बलवत्तर दिसल्या तरी कालांतराने त्या दुबळ्या होतात आणि समाज प्रगल्भ मूल्यनिष्ठांकडे जातो. जन्मदत्त निष्ठांकडून मूल्यनिष्ठांकडे जाणे याचेच नाव प्रबोधन आहे व तेच समाजाचे खरे उन्नयनही आहे. 'युगांतर' मध्ये या स्थित्यंतराचा विस्तृत आढावा प्रमाणांसह घेतला आहे.
