Reese "Gypsy" Shackelford has had a hard life, supporting herself and two daughters on a Waffle House salary. Never mind that her sister, Taylor, is living the good life with her family in an upscale neighborhood across town and sees Gypsy as a liability and the victim of her own misfortune.

However, Gypsy and Taylor aren’t prepared for the global pandemic of 2020 that would not only change their lives forever but also the lives of everyone in the city of Fayetteville, the state of North Carolina, the United States, and the entire world.
