This book offered a deeply emotional experience. The story itself is hard-hitting and thought provoking. The audio quality is pretty good and the sound effects are effective without being intrusive.Just a minor complaint: The accent given to Hilda's character just didn't sit well with me. Hilda is presented as a white woman from the US. It is understood that she speaks English although her lines are written in Kannada. The fake accent was distracting and borderline annoying. Despite the minor squabble, I highly recommend Kannada readers to give this a shot.

Great Great, I read it twice. Kamadhenu Kateya mundina bhaga annabahudu

Enjoyed listening to this book enacted by a number of talented narrators giving authentic feel to various village accents, especially to a non-Kannadiga listener like me. Technical production is superb. However, the story plot is regressive and extremely orthodox.
