Started listening to it but after sometime I realised author mixed current cast based system with ancient history of Hinduism when such thing never existed... why such goof up is there even in booksWhy writers keep away all the fake controversies out of their writing....This is True that Ravana was very powerful on all aspects thats why Lord Rama's involvement was required else any of the normal person would have killed him.

Good to know a different perspective of the story. Writer infused today's scenarios in most of the situation to narrate the world of that times. Just a thought provoking read.

नाण्याच्या दोन बाजू असतात तशा रुढ कथेलाही असू शकतात , ह्याचा प्रत्यय ह्या पुसतकातून येतो . . . रामायणात अनेक अविश्वसनीय वा मानवी मर्यांदा पलिकडले चमत्कार आढळतात . त्यामुळे ते अधिकच रंजक वाटते मात्र येथे कसे काही नसून ही पुस्तक वाचकास खिळवून ठेवते . लेखक व अनुवादक तर निःसंदेह ग्रेटच ! मात्र तसाच वाचक स्वर ही वातावरण निर्मितीत भर घालले

Excellent प्रत्येक वाक्यात खोल अर्थ आहे .

लेखकाला सूर-असुर याचा अर्थच माहित नाही बहुधा. दशानन हाच धडा घेन्याजोगा आहे. बाकी फक्त कल्पना विलास आणि रामाची तसेच भारतीय संस्कृतीची प्रतिमा मलिन करण्याचे काम केले आहे.

Started listening but in very first chapter writer mentioned about death of Ravana where he imagined that dead body of Ravana was left unattended which is very wrong , Lord Rama did every rituals (antyasanskar) on Ravana's and his relatives's dead body but may be due to lack of studies writer portrayed it in another way.I have respect for King Ravana , he was enormously intelligent, powerful, faithful for lord Shiva , a good king and pandit , good architect , vidvan , even there are temples of Ravana in india , he off-coursed consisted good values but there is no need to portray negative about lord Rama to prove Ravana's positive aspects .

Everyone should read this masterpiece.A tale of vanquished.Thought provoking and excellent narration
