साधना प्रकाशन, पुणे. 1920 ते 1995 असे 75 वर्षांचे आयुष्य लाभलेले, वि. म. दांडेकर हे भारतातील नामवंत अर्थतज्ज्ञ म्हणून ओळखले जातात. त्यांनी शेती, सहकार, लोकसंख्या, गरिबी, लघुद्योग, अन्नधान्य समस्या, शेतीविषयक कायदे इत्यादी विषयांवर अनेक पुस्तके व शोधनिबंध लिहिले. त्यांनी 'पॉव्हर्टी इन इंडिया' हे डॉ. नीळकंठ रथ यांच्याबरोबर लिहिलेले पुस्तक विशेष महत्वाचे मानले जाते. त्यांचे जन्मशताब्दी वर्ष संपले तेव्हा , विनय हर्डीकर यांनी लिहिलेला दीर्घ लेख साप्ताहिक साधनाच्या 2021 च्या दिवाळी अंकात प्रसिद्ध झाला. हर्डीकर यांना दांडेकर यांचा जो दीर्घकाळ सहवास लाभला त्यावर आधारित हा लेख असून, यातून हर्डीकर व दांडेकर या दोघांचेही व्यक्तिमत्त्व उभे राहते. खरे तर हा लेख म्हणजे हर्डीकर यांनी दांडेकर यांना लिहिलेले दीर्घ पत्र आहे. मुळात हे रेकॉर्डिंग आधी करण्यात आले आणि नंतर त्याचे शब्दांकन करून लेख तयार केला गेला.

He authored several books and research papers on agriculture, cooperation, population, poverty, small-scale industries, foodgrain issues, agricultural laws, and many more. Poverty in India co-authored with Neelkanth Rath is considered one of the most remarkable books. Vinay Hardikar wrote a feature article on the occasion of Dandekar’s birth centenary year which came to an end. It was published in the 2021 Diwali issue of the Weekly Sadhana. The feature reflects a long association between Hardikar and Dandekar and sketches their personalities as well. Actually, it was a letter addressed long back to Dandekar. To be honest, it was originally produced in audio format and later converted into text article.
