The story is about the migrants from travancore to Malabar in the north kerala, that was common in mid 1990s, in searche of a more secured and warm life. Uncultivated virgin lands were cheaply available there. Many dreamed about a better life. But not all were comfortable there as well. They had to face the hard realities in the form of nature, malaria and cheating. Years later they realise their mistake anss many return to their home land. The plot is about many individuals like the lazy Mathan, his hard working never given up wife Mariam, the Christian priest to become Anthony, his hard beliefs in Religion, and characters of lust.
